In 1996, Joan decided to open up an art studio to create and sell her artwork. That is how My Little Studio began in Stevensville, MD. Later, in 2008, she had a chance to move to a large historic store. She created a shared art space, Island Arts, in combination with My Little Studio. It is a place where local artists display and sell their art and crafts. And a place where Joan and other artist teach art classes.
Island Arts has everything, from abstract art, sculptures, paintings, fabric art jewelery, pottery, wood art, and photos.
Classes are held in My Little Studio and it is also where a lucky charm lives…
and a leprechaun swings in a hammock.
Thank you Joan for creating community space for art and learning.
