Rose are Red, a symbol of love. This Saturday is St. Valentine’s Day, and Colonial Florist is ready. They have ordered thousands of roses for the holiday, which is one of their busiest holiday.
Colonial Florist has been busy making floral arrangements in the Annapolis area for 47 years. It was a cold day when I visited the shop and as I walked into their cooler where they keep bouquets and flowers, I took a deep breath. It was the aroma of spring, the aroma of flowers. You just had to smile.
Floral design is the art of creating arrangements of cut flowers, foliage, herbs, ornamental grasses and/or other materials in a container. There are different types of floral arranging, Ikebana, English Garden, and Modern/European style.
They also carry cute Valentine teddy bears and container gardens.
