Creative Colors at Blue Heron Yarns

Each skein of yarn at Blue Heron Yarns is vibrantly hand dyed using special dye combinations created by Barbara.  Blue Heron owners, Barbara and Demain, receive the natural yarn and then hand dye the yarns in their art studios on the Eastern Shore.  They have been creating these unique fine quality yarns since 1995.

They sell chenille, silk linen, cotton and rayon yarns.  Raverly, the knitter website, has thousands of creations listed using Blue Heron Yarn.

I have been knitting a shawl using their rayon metallic yarn.  The yarn is easy to work with and has a nice drape. This yarn has become my favorite knitting yarn.

Be sure to visit the Blue Heron Yarn shop in Easton or you can purchase their yarn on their website.  http://www.blueheronyarns.com
