I had the chance to view the exhibit “Passing the Torch Artists Influencing Artists” at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis, MD. The exhibit pairs The Artery Cooperative member’s artwork and Bates Middle School student’s literary responses to the works.
The Artery Cooperative is a network of Annapolis artists to enhance Annapolis’ artistic atmosphere through youth mentorships.
The students are part of the Performing and Visual Arts Middle School Program at Bates Middle School.
The three-year middle school program is for arts students who are interested in achieving their academic and artistic potential through educational choices.
The exhibit displays a variety of media. The student’s responses were very interesting and creative.
Please see this exhibit because I have attached just a few of the art exhibited. I hope there will be more exhibits of this type in the future. The exhibit will run through February 14th.
While I was at Maryland Hall I stopped at the Hebe Cafe on the first floor. I always enjoy looking at the gallery on the first floor.
Keep creating,
Dee
