This week I would like to do something different.

I visited Wye River Design studio and created a mosaic, a street number mosaic.  Candace assured me that it would be easy, she said anyone can create a mosaic.  And she was right and a great help,

First, pick out your materials

Then attach the numbers on the base.

Next start laying out the glass mosaic pieces on the base.  I just had to add Chesapeake Bay blue crabs.  You can use the glass cutter to cut the glass.

Start gluing everything down and…

blow dry.

Next mix the mortar.  It should be the consistency of brownie mix.

Spread the mortar on the piece.  Spread around to make sure everything is covered and the crevices are filled.

Wipe off excess.  Paint around the edges and—–

The finished project.  I’m so excited.
