It was art in the greenhouse this weekend. Muddy Creek Artist Guild’s “Harvest of Artist” art show was held at Greenstreet Gardens in Lothian, MD. What a wonderful way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon, viewing beautiful art works nestled in a greenhouse stocked full of lush green plants.
Fifty artisans display their work this weekend. From jewelry, photos, paintings, glass work, clothing, to metal sculptures. And many, many, more creations.
I got a chance to talk to wood artist, Allen Cady. He was exhibiting his comfortable wood folding chairs, his sleek benches, and unique craving boards.
Also, guild members took the opportunity to paint and draw the beautiful surroundings. I meet Ruth Bailey sketching the barn in the background. As she was working, she had a little green visitor, a praying mantis, he sat on a stool next to her and watched her work. Can you see him in the pictures?
The next Muddy Creek Artist Guild event will be their Holiday Art Show and Sale, November 20th through the 23rd. This event will be held at the Historic London Town and Gardens. Also, My Fancy Finds, West River, MD carries artworks from the Muddy Creek artists.
