Frozen Chesapeake Bay Eastern Shore- January 2014

A treasure in Stevensville, MD is the Kent Island Federation of Arts Gallery. The Federation’s goal is “to expand the cultural and artistic climate of Queen Anne’s County by encouraging participation in, and promotion of, the visual arts. They approach these goals through educational programs, exhibits, competitions, events, and cooperation with the public schools, the Chamber of Commerce and other organizations.”

They are have a Winter Sunday Draw & Paint-In during the month of February.  Pack up your brushes, sharpen your pencils, and join others artists painting or drawing various still life or other subjects from 12:30PM until 3:30PM. There is a $5 fee for non-members.  Also, remember to bring your mug for coffee or tea.  I hope to attend at least one Paint In this February.

The Human Form: The Body in Art is a judged show of figurative works and portraiture.  The judge is John Ebersberger.  The show starts February 5th and runs through March 1st. An artist reception will be February 8th 3:00PM until 5:00pm.
