Chesapeake Bay December

The Chesapeake Bay area experiences all four seasons. And December is in late fall/early winter now. The hours lite by sunlight is less and darkness fill the skies more. It is cooler and jackets are worn. Some of us want to hibernate and stay warm.

Now is the time to think about the vibrant colors of the summer harvest when the air was very warm. The sun shined bright most of the day.

We remember the still life of the summer harvest. No wonder artist are inspired by the bright and vibrant colors of flowers and fruits. The beautiful ripe reds against the sturdy green stems. The lacey petals of the flowers. They want to keep these memories alive especially during a gray and cold winter day.
